THE 1999 KD 7000

Number 1 Tournament ski in the world

The original Carbon Graphite Composite waterski. Our concept has always been to create cutting edge technical innovations. This year is no exception. The KD7000 on the tradition of excellence, and takes competition skiing to a new level.

The perfect combination of stiffness, torsional rigidity, and flex. The KD7000 grips the water through turns, has a large forgiving 'sweet-spot' and firm, stiff tip to support you through the turns. Often imitated but never duplicated, this ski will improve your personal best.

Why does a carbon ski need flex?
Carbon has one of strongest strength to weight ratio of any substance on earth. It is made to be rigid and unbending. This is fine for a ski on a perfect day, but in the real world, there are wakes, waves and wind to deal with on the water. A rigid ski in most conditions is like skiing in an I-beam: string stiff and unforgiving. The KD7000 takes all its best: stiff where it needs to be, and flexible where it should be. The KD7000 has four different flex zones to help you achieve your best all around performance.

CALIBRATED LASER ALIGNED FIN
The only bottom mounted adjustable, self centering fin on the market. The KD7000 fin box is built directly into the ski, which does not compromise the skis structural integrity. The KD laser aligned fin can be removed for easy calibration to exactly the settings you want.
